Tiger Den - First Grade

FIRST GRADE: Ages 6-7

DEN LEADERS: Dan Palumbo and Elizabeth Runkle

MEETINGS: 2nd and 4th Sundays  Time: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm

LOCATION: Scout Hut at Kelley Cofer Park

The Tiger Scout program is for boys and girls who are going into 1st grade or between ages 6-7.

Tigers will do activities involving simple physical and mental skills. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, and family understanding.

First, all new scouts will work on earning the Bobcat patch. For the Bobcat rank, scouts will learn the basics of Cub Scouts.

To earn the Tiger patch:

Your scout will need to complete the 6 main adventures and 1 elective adventure found in the Tiger Handbook. They will also need to watch a Protect Yourself video. When your scout completes an adventure, they will get a belt loop at the next Pack Meeting.

As a den, we will work on 5 of the main adventures and 1 elective together.

The “Duty to God” adventure, Youth Protection booklet and Protect Yourself video is to be done at home as a family.

You can also help your scout earn adventures at home, please let the den leader or advancement chair know when you complete an adventure so it can be marked and awarded.
