THIRD GRADE: Ages 8-9
DEN LEADERS: Dan Palumbo
MEETINGS: Two Sundays a month Time: 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm
LOCATION: Scout Hut at Kelly Cofer Park
The Bear Cub Scout program is for boys and girls going into 3rd grade or between the ages of 8 and 9.
Bears will learn about hand tools and knife safety by using a pocket knife to carve a simple item. Bears will learn more about camping and the great outdoors, as well as being involved in the community.
To earn the Bear patch:
Your Scout will need to complete the six required adventures and two elective adventures found in the Bear Handbook. They will also need to watch a Protect Yourself video as part of their Standing Tall Adventure.
When your scout completes an adventure, they will get a belt loop at the next Pack Meeting.
As a den, we will work on four of the required adventures and at least one elective together.
The Fellowship Adventure, Youth Protection booklet, and Protect Yourself video are to be done at home as a family.
You can also help your Scout earn adventures at home. Please let the den leader know when you complete an adventure so it can be marked and awarded.

Your Scout will need a BSA blue shirt, light blue Bear neckerchief and slide, and Cub Scout belt.
